Resumen
Music collections in academic libraries present a host of unique considerations when it comes to their management, particularly with regard to the weeding, or deselection, process. This article presents a case study in weeding the music collection of a medium-sized academic library. It outlines steps taken to carefully and efficiently reduce an overgrown collection using circulation statistics, and shows how unused library space provided in-house storage for less-circulated materials.
