Resumen

In tandem with the first Booth Library Edible Book Festival in 2011, this exhibit introduces the viewer to Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, the inspiration for the International Edible Book Festival. Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826) is most famous for his book Physiologie du goût, a witty meditation on food. Physiologie du goût has never been out of print since it was first published. Among Brillat-Savarin's bon mots are "Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are" (now used in the TV series 'Iron Chef'). Brillat-Savarin was also one of the first persons to identify high sugar content foods as contributors to obesity. Curated by Todd Bruns.
