N1 - The reaction between nickel(II) xanthates with tetraphenyldiphosphinoethane in molar ratio Ni:dppe 2:1 gives trinuclear complexes, [Ni 3(μ 2-S) 2(S 2COR) 2(dppe)] (R=Me, Et), whose crystal structures were investigated by single crystal X-ray diffraction. These complexes contain a trigonal bipyramidal central Ni 3S 2 core, with sulfur atoms in axial positions and nickel atoms in equatorial positions.
