The oxonium species were synthesized using tetrahydrofuran, 1,4-dioxane, and diethyl ether. The crystal structure of the tetrahydrofuran derivative [2-(CH2)4O-nido-6-Re(CO)3B9H12] was determined and compared to the isostructural manganese compound.",
