Abstract

This course provides an examination of communicative structure,
function, and process among family members. The family system as a whole and major subsystems
(parent-child, siblings, spouses) are explored. Emphasis is on the role of
communication in the construction, maintenance, and change of family relationships
throughout the family lifecycle.
