Dr. Md-Yunus’ research primarily focuses on early education and care of immigrant children and families. She uses the frameworks of culturally sensitive care and developmentally appropriate practice in most of her research work. She applied her research work to grounded The Critical “Immigration” theoretical framework which was based on The Positioning Theory and Asians as Model Minority to inform the social policy regarding the education of immigrant children, specifically Asians.
