Dr. Davis worked for nine years in the Wichita Unified School District in Wichita, Kansas, where she was a 4th/5th grade classroom teacher, an ESL teacher and ESL Learning Coach.  She received her Ph.D. from Kansas State University where she focused on elementary literacy and become a licensed and endorsed reading specialist.  Dr. Davis completed a six-month post-doctorate program with the Center for Multicultural and Interlingual Advocacy where she worked with teachers from both Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
